June 10-16 (I think)

Well been on a few drives recently, last week i was out domano way on a few occasions.  One day we saw 5 black bears along the power lines.
Another day the only animals i saw were rabbits...
Another day I was enjoying a nice sunny day with the top down...
...untill this rolled in!

I hauled ass out out and drove around the storm, which lead me out to the streets of Beaveryly area.  Only got a few drops, i put the top up and half doors back on and came around the back side of the storm and nothing but sunshine.  So off with the doors and roof again and posed the jeep on the rocks at the offroad junction back on the powerlines back in there.

I got home from being out one day and as i was unloading my tools and putting the top back up.  A watched a dodge viper race a motorbike off the line, viper in the left lane, bike in the right.  They looked dead even for the first 100ft or so then the viper spun out and all i saw was dust and heard the crash, when the dust cleared he had taken out a lamp post and was down on the frontage road just off the highway he used to be on.  His read end hit the post and he spun a 360 between two small landscaped trees.  I ran over with my rear zip on windows still in my hand to make sure he was alright.  He was...  I dragged the lamp post off the highway to the bike lane so it wouldn't cause other accident.  Turned out the guy clipped the back end of the motor bike but he didn't go down.  He had a small bend in his licence plate and was a lucky man! The driver thought he had taken out the motor bike at first and was looking for him and bike laying on the ground some where.  He was a shook up, I spoke to him breifly and he had just washed his car a block away and claimed his tires were wet.  I had noticed the car in the car wash earlier...  640hp viper acr special edition.  Pieces of carbon fiber were scattered across the grass.

A few days worth of Jeeping (June 2-4)

Well not to much to say, have just done a few trails close to home that i used to do in the old jeep semi-regularly.  Was just in behind the hart scales and across over to foothills and back in pidherny forestry road, June 2.  This first puddle might have turned me around in the old jeep, no problem these days.

There is a deer on the road infront of me here.  I killed the engine and watched her for a while untill she disappeared into the forest.
The next day, June 3, i went out the end of Domano blvd in college heights out to west lake.  I met Dan, driving his 4runner, we'd never met before but he recognized my jeep from the 4x4 club forums i use.  We chatted for a while and headed up the power lines there.  He was doing all the mud off the side of the trail but as i had the top down i didn't want to be wearing any mud. Dan Video

We chatted some more, had a beer, and he continued home.  I headed out to west lake.  There is a swamp i find photogenic along the way and apparently i didn't take any pictures of the lake.  Dan parked on this rock before he headed out, so on my way back i thought i'd park there for a pic or two.

June 4 was a nice sunny day and one of the best looking forecasts i had seen in a while.  Roof came down and I decided to go out to Salmon Valley.

Later around fall time i can often drive across the river straight out from the picture with the beer and sunflower seeds. I headed back out and across the bridge and continued with some familiar wondering around.

Weather started to turn and I headed back a little sooner than intended.
Bugs are bad nearly everywhere.  Salmon Valley was only flies tho and they weren't biting.  Good thing i travel with bug spray!  A few times i've turned around on trails due to caterpillars hanging down from trees and i don't want to deal with that having the top down.  Its been a good 3 days...
